During a period of professional reinvention, I channeled my graphic design expertise into the intimate art of tattooing! Translating abstract concepts, emotional narratives, and surreal imagery into enduring bodily art. Every piece originates from my personal sketchbook illustrations or was custom designed for clients, always infused with my signature blend of whimsy and darkness, fragmentation and serenity. Motifs range from dreamlike animals to glimpses of alternate realities—each a wearable fragment of my artistic universe.

As a self-employed artist, I hand-drew 100% of designs, managed all aspects of independent practice, from sterilization protocols to deep-dive client consultations, while exploring the alchemy of ephemeral ideas becoming permanent marks… A natural evolution of my design philosophy! This entrepreneurial chapter taught me that art thrives at the intersection of human connection and uncompromising creativity.

THE EVENT

On Saturday November 19th (2022), in a collaboration with Beirut Art Center (BAC), I held a flash tattoo event at Beirut Art Center’s “From the Rooftops” garden, featuring illustrations from The Blackbook. Attendees chose from prepared designs or watched me draw live as tattoo artists Ghadeer Barri and Motasem Alkontar brought the sketches to life. The event, set under Yehia Jammoul’s geodesic dome, was accompanied by a DJ set from HotIceCream and drinks, creating a vibrant celebration of art and community.

THANK YOU!

A THANK YOU MESSAGE: To Beirut Art Center for bringing us into your space; to the amazing tattoo artists for their patience and dedication; and to everyone who made it to the event! You give life to these drawings. When I see them on your skin, you are lifting them up and bringing them on a path that I hope will be fruitful for you, joyous, and prosperous.

Stick’em till you lick’em!

Humor, romance, darknesses, serenity, ignorance, fragmented images, abstract ideas, animals, and glimpses of alternate realities inked in shapes and dreams.
